UP Education Network will Take Over Springfield Middle School Next Year

Mass Live – “Boston-based UP Education Network will take over a chronically under-performing Springfield middle school next school year in partnership with the The Springfield Empowerment Zone, rather than running it as a charter.

That means the chosen middle school will retain its student body and will allow the organization to “make significant changes in the school” without having to seek a charter, UP Education Network founder and CEO Scott Given said.”
